dress CONSULTATIONS:
I would love to welcome you into my studio in Ponsonby to take you through the collection. This is your opportunity to try on the range and view fabrics in person. We start with a quick chat through your wedding plans and ideas, then you can try on as many pieces as you like. Most styles are customisable and I can take you through fit and fabric options as we go.
Your initial consultation runs for 55 minutes and is at a one off fee of $75. If you wish to come back again and try on a couple of favourites before deciding you are welcome to book in a second appointment at no extra cost.
Consultations are booked on the hour between 9am- 5pm Thursday - Saturday. If you wish to come outside of these hours please get in touch to enquire.
It is helpful if you have had a look online before coming with an idea of a few styles you would like to try on. Most samples are here in a size NZ 8ish and 12ish - but unfortunately not all styles are available in every size so please ensure before your consultation you have provided your size and listed any particular styles you wish to try on, I will do my best but cannot guarantee all styles will be available.
You can bring up to 4 people with you, the studio is snug and all yours for the duration of your appointment.

hayes bridal collection:
All Hayes Bridal Collection styles are made to order and are priced on the product pages.
Most gowns sit in the price range of $3000 -$4000.
Please do your best to allow 6 months notice where possible when placing an order. Urgent orders are usually able to be accommodated, please get in contact as soon as possible to discuss.
Most styles can be customised with changes in fabric or small design tweaks - e.g neckline depth, strap width. If you already have an idea of the changes you might wish to make - please email a description (or better yet, some reference images) to hello@hayesbridal.co.nz to discuss. You will be quoted a fee for additional work (if any) is needed for these minor customisations.
If you wish to make major changes to existing designs, this often becomes a ‘bespoke’ process where new patterns etc. are required. Please see below on this.
Collection styles are available to purchase online. Please get in touch to discuss this and provide your measurements.
You will need alterations to perfect the fit of your piece.
Once you have chosen your dress, you’ll be sent an invoice with a 40% deposit due to confirm your order.
The remaining payment is to be made prior to collectIon (or shipment) of your dress.

Due to capacity - Hayes Bridal is only able to offer in-house alterations to a very limited number of brides each season.
Alterations are an expected and necessary part of the wedding dress process to ensure your gown is the perfect fit for you.
All Hayes Bridal garments are made to reflect measurements, however, some light alterations are necessary to perfect the length and fit of your special piece.
In-house tailoring service:
+ $600 to the usual price of your piece.
Have your dress tailored to fit you, with all fitting/alterations completed at the Hayes Bridal studio. You will need to visit the studio - on weekdays - for these appointments, where usually 2-3 fittings are required. This service is available to a limited number of brides per year.
Alternatively:
You will arrange your alterations to be completed by your local specialist once you have received your piece. This is also ideal for out of town brides who do not wish to travel to Auckland during the week.
Your dress will be ready to collect (or shipped via tracked courier) approximately 3 months out from your wedding date. If you wish to collect in person you can book in an appointment to pop in, try your dress on and be provided with some suggested alterations before packing up your dress for you to take to your local specialist to complete the final touches.
We have a couple of Auckland based bridal alteration specialists that we can recommend you visit for this, where you and your dress will be in wonderfully capable hands.
BESPOKE DESIGNS:
I offer a bespoke service for just a handful of brides each season who have their own vision for their relaxed wedding outfit. This is for brides who are looking for something simple and silk, but can’t quite find it in the collection.
At your consultation you can try on any relevant pieces from the Hayes Bridal collection, and discuss your design ideas. Please bring as many ideas and references as you can to explain your vision for design/vibes/details.
Special fabric or trims can often be sourced. Once we have settled on design details, you will be given a quote.
A 10% non-refundable deposit is due to proceed to a calico mock up of your pattern. At this first mock-up fitting you can try on the shape of your dress and we can make any tweaks to the design. There is no obligation to continue past this point if it isn't what you expected. So there are no surprises!
Once your actual dress is cut it takes between 3-5 fittings to ensure the perfect fit. Or more if we are making changes along the way. So you will need to be available for these in Auckland.
Bespoke designs start from $4500 NZD. Price will be quoted upon consultation. (Or if you have similar images for reference you can email them to hello@hayesbridal.co.nz to get a ballpark estimate)
Please allow at least 8 months for this process if possible. Urgent orders can usually be accommodated but this may incur an extra fee and can limit our options in terms of design development, fabric sourcing etc.

Please check your measurements against the size guide to find which size you should order.
If in doubt, it is best to order up a size, as it is always easier to take something in, and often impossible to make something bigger.
If you have any particular fit requirements (e.g size 8 bust, size 12 hip) we can aim to work to these, however, when purchasing online an exact fit cannot be guaranteed and you will need to arrange your own alterations locally.
Please choose your local alterations specialist carefully.
As all garments are made to order, unfortunately, returns cannot be accepted due to change of mind.
